The 70th Independence Day was celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm on 15th August, 2016

The 70th Independence Day was celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm. Dr. Purnendu Sekhar Das, Principal, Tinsukia Commerce College, Tinsukia, Assam was the Chief Guest on this occasion. He hoisted the National Flag and addressed the gathering.
After the march past, the students performed Band Display, Yogasana, Dumbbell Drill, Pyramid and several other cultural events based on patriotism.
Snacks packets were given to all the students, guests and staff.

      

      

      

      

A Friendly Football Match was organized among the GDA staff members in the afternoon.

      

      

In the evening Quiz Competition was held among the students of class X to XII in Vivekananda Sabhagriha. Class XII won the event.

      

Ratha Yatra (car festival) of Lord Jagannath was celebrated

Ratha Yatra (car festival) of Lord Jagannath was celebrated on 6th July 2016, with due solemnity and devotion. All the students and staff members with their family participated.

      

      

      

Inter-Block Football competition of Higher Secondary Hostel was held on 26th July, 2016

The final match of Inter-Block Football competition of Higher Secondary Hostel was held on 26th July, 2016 at Mahavir Stadium between Acharya Ramanuja Block Vs Acharya Shankara Block. Acharya Ramanuja Block won the Trophy.

      

     

Primary Football competition of Primary Hostel was held on 30th July, 2016

The final match of Primary Football competition of Primary Hostel was held on 30th July, 2016 at Primary hostel grounds between Team Agni Vs Team Akash. Team Agni won the Trophy.

      

      

Quiz Competition among the students of class VI to IX was held on 31st July, 2016

Quiz Competition among the students of class VI to IX was held at Vivekananda Sabhagriha. Class IX won the event.

      

Distress Relief during July, 2016

During the month of July 2016 the following items were distributed among the poor and needy.
Gents Garments: Shirt – 03, Trouser – 10, T-Shirt – 205, Sweater – 122, Jacket – 445 & Sweat Shirt – 244.
Ladies Garments: Top – 1642, Trouser – 170 & Shirt – 58.
Besides, we also distributed 160 school bags, 160 pairs of shoes and socks, 133 hair oil bottles & 1600 sachets of shampoo among 160 students in a village school.
