22nd August, 2011: Special Puja of Sri Govindaji

Special Puja of Sri Govindaji was performed at Devabhumi Temple from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with due solemnity and devotion. Havan, chanting, Bhajan and Prasad Bitaran were also performed.

Fancy Dress

   

Inter Hostel Fancy Dress competition from I to XII was held at the Vivekananda Sabhagriha. Students with different costumes surprised the whole audience.

Teachers' Day

Teachers’ Day function was observed with great joy. Sri Jayanta Chaudhuri, Outstanding Scientist (Retd.), Dept. of Atomic Energy, Kolkata, was the Chief Guest.

Certificate of Honor and special gifts were given by the guest to the following teachers for 100% attendance in the year 2010-11.  Sri S. K. Tripathy, Sri Netai Ch. Dey, Sri Ganesh Sapkota & Sri Debasis Mukherjee. On this occasion songs, Tabla Lahara, lecture etc. were performed by the teachers.

To mark the celebration of 175th & 150th Birth Anniversary of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda respectively Thakur & Swamiji printed dial Titan wrist watch were given as gift to all the teachers and staffs on this occasion.

Teachers and staffs were given Dinner at Mayer Ghar.

Sri Viswakarma Puja

Sri Viswakarma Puja was performed on 17th September 2011 with due solemnity.  All the staff members with their family attended the puja and took Prasad. The Hon’ble members also attended the Puja. On 18th September immersion of Sri Viswakarma image was done.

Special Puja of Sri Sri Kali Ma

   

Special Puja of Sri Sri Kali Ma was performed at Devabhumi Temple on 26 October, 2011 from 5.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. with due solemnity and devotion. Havan, Chanting, Bhajan was also performed.

In this occasion, 75 blanket and mosquito net were given to the 75 villagers of Mopaya Village.

Children's Day

Children’s Day was observed at Primary Hostel. A colourful programme was performed by the students of Primary Section which was attended by Swamijis, teachers and a big group of devotees from Assam.

‘Gambhira’ inagurated by Srimat Swami Divyanandaji Maharaj

   

An old wooden building, which was damaged during a storm was renovated and a new four room block has been constructed on the confluence of Buridehing and Naga river. The building has been dedicated for the visiting monks for their spiritual practices. It has been named as ‘Gambhira’. In the evening a sadhu bhandara (with the monastic brothers of Narottam Nagar and 4 visiting Swamijis) was held in this building. Srimat Swami Divyanandaji Maharaj addressed the monks and handed over the gifts to the monks.

New Dairy building “GONIWAS” was opened by Srimat Swami Divyanandaji Maharaj, Trustee, Ramakrishna Math & Mission, Belur Math, W.B.

175th Birth Anniversary of Sri Ramakrishna Deva celebration was observed with great joy and festivity. Srimat Swami Divyanandaji Maharaj, Trustee, Ramakrishna Math & Mission, Belur Math, W.B., Swami Sumanasananda, Secretary, Cherrapunji Mission, Swami Vishweshananda, Secretary, Itanagar Hospital & Swami Achyuteshananda, Secretary, Shillong Mission, addressed the gathering. Allmost 475 devotees came from the following Ashramas attended the function which was held at Vivekananda Sabhagriha.

1. Talap, 2. Doom Dooma, 3. Makum, 4. Digboi, 5. Margherita, 6. Tinsukia, 7. Duliajan, 8. Naharkatia, 9. Namrup, 10. Bhaduipachali, 11. Joypore, 12. Namsai, & 13. Deomali.

A souvenir, ‘CHETANA’ was published on this occasion. All were given a picture of Sri Ramakrishna Deva printed on Flex and a copy of Chetana as a memento. Prasad were given to all.

   

Ma Sarada Palli Vikas Prakalpa where 100 poor ladies are Receiving training regularly since June, 2011, organized a function to meet Srimat Swami Divyanandaji Maharaj who is the convener of the prakalpa.

More than 100 ladies and others gathered in the Vivekananda Sabhagriha where Revered Swamiji spook and inspired the homemakers. Blanket were given to all the ladies.

Bottles of Jam & Jelly, muflar, tribal coat etc. produced by the trainees during the training course were offered to the Swamijis as gifts.

Holy Mother's Birth Anniversary

159th Tithi Puja of Ma Sarada Devi was observed with due solemnity at our Mission’s Thakur Ghar. Meditation, Chanting, Bhajans and special puja was performed.

Maa Sarada Seva Samity, Mopaya and Sri Ramakrishna Seva Samity, Deomali also celebrated the Holy Mother’s tithipuja with our help and guidance.

In the evening at Vivekananda Auditorium “Our Mother” a programme was held. Dr. (Mrs.) Kalyani Mazumder, Pathologist, St. Luke Hospital spokes as Chief Guest.

Celebrated Kalpataru Diwas

Kalpataru Utsav was observed with due solemnity under a tree near central office at Kalpataru Udyan on 1st January, 2012. Bhajan, Speeches were organized on the occasion and prasad distributed among the devotees.

Swami Vivekananda's Tithi Puja

150th Tithi Puja of Swami Vivekananda was observed with due solemnity at our Mission Thakur Ghar. Meditation, Chanting, Bhajans and special Puja were performed. Some devotees took prasad along with our staff members and family.

Maa Sarada Seva Samity, Mopaya and Sri Ramakrishna Seva Samity, Deomali also celebrated the Swamiji’s tithipuja with our help and guidance.

In the evening at Vivekananda Auditorium  “OUR SWAMIJI”, a colourful programme was organized.

The Republic Day was celebrated

The Republic Day was celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm, hoisted the National Flag and spoke before the gathering. The boys performed March Past, Band display, Patriotic song. Snacks packets were given among the staff members.

Saraswati Puja

On 28th January 2012 the Sri Saraswati Puja was performed with due solemnity. On 29th January immersion of Sri Saraswati Image was done.

Annual Function at Ramakrishna Mission School

   

On 2nd February, 2012 amidst the blowing of Conch & Bugle, sound of trumpets & flutes, cheering of 700 children began the Annual Ceremony which was addressed by Sri Kamthok Lowang, Hon’ble MLA, Khonsa, Sri Wangki Lowang, Hon’ble MLA, Namsang & Sri Thangwang Wangham, Hon’ble MLA, Longding.
 
Sri Kamthok Lowang, Hon’ble MLA, Khonsa, released the School Magazine, “Narottam” . Rs. 1,00,000/-  given by Sri Kamthok Lowang & Rs. 50,000/- given by Sri Wangki Lowang.

Swami Ishatmananda, Principal-cum-Secretary, in his concluding remarks mentioned, “Knowledge is power and power should be in the custody of proper persons.” He continued,

The function was welcomed by Swami Supradiptananda, Vice-Principal, Higher Secondary Section, who also informed the whole year activity to the audience.

This the first time in Nocte dialect a book has been published on 8th December, 2011 at Narottam Nagar. The name of the book is “VIVEKANANDA WAH TEWA NGINSHAA” which is a translation from “Tales from Vivekananda” retold by Swami Ishatmananda. It has been translated into local language “Nocte” by Sri Wangpha Lowang.
